The vulnerability and loneliness of a pretty 'rent boy' and a flighty salesgirl is the theme of this absorbing drama. Theo is a Berlin hustler, a handsome young man who, despite selling his body, retains an amazingly sweet and trusting nature. Despite living the 'good life,' Theo begins feeling a little old, tired and alienated. His sadness is relieved a bit when he strikes up an uneasy relationship with his next door neighbor, Marie, a punkishly outlandish French woman. Their friendship is not the stuff of high drama, but it is a simple, surprisingly touching tale of an unlikely love between two social outcasts. (German with English subtitles)
