We're not even going to beat around the (thick and tasty) bush: Freaky Thugz: The Fire Within is one of the most original, artistically creative, and slam-bang hot as fuck gay adult movies of the year. Too often most ethnic-themed films are either filled with (sorry to be so blunt but) hot-looking straight trade who seem cracked out or nasty-lookin' rick rack that need to be kept far away from a camera.This one - a co-presentation of Tiger Tyson Productions and newcomers Liquid Dreamz Entertainment - hits all the right notes: hot looking papis, terrific production design, believeable plot and performances, and some of the hottest sex we've seen all season. (The outdoor 'rape' and bathroom scenes made our office freak.)Breaking some new ground with what it shows, the film takes a chance with fetishes ranging from rough sex and passionate trickings, to shrimping, oral cumshots, a touch of mysticism and even homoeroticism among straight boys. This foreskin-laden piece of work (emphasis on the word 'piece') will work you to the bone. Yes, there are technically 'better' films out there, but this one took a huge gamble in trying something different - and it really paid off.Heralding a killer new directing talent in Junito (who also performs in the film), we're going out on a limb and hereby tag Freaky Thugz: The Fire Within one of 2003's biggest surprises and one to beat for the year's Best Ethnic Video.
